Tonight, the Town of Geddes Board and employees would like to acknowledge a very special person to all of us.
For nine years, Amanda Ramsing, Supervisor Secretary, has been the heart and soul of our town government. From answering the phones, greeting residents, acting as our office manager and building superintendent, addressing concerns in technology, calming the residents and employees when there are bumps in the road, organizing information/documents and communicating within the town and with those contracted to work with us outside the town, updating websites, adding anecdotes to our Facebook pages, assembling our board agendas and posting committee agendas/minutes, facilitating the Hometown Heroes program, keeping a town calendar while electronically scheduling openings for meetings/court, managing the street light outages, keeping in compliance with all of the many mandates for municipalities, interfacing with employees from all departments to help with benefit issues, running our Geddes Chamber of Commerce website and most of all, being the consistent, thoughtful and measured problem solving center of the town’s business. Whether it is a board meeting or during budget time or when addressing Finance Committee questions, Amanda always makes us look our best.
Most of all, beyond the profound respect that we have for Amanda as a professional, we are most grateful and honored to call her our friend.
We wish her the very best always as she and her family begin a new chapter in their lives.
